New Hartford Artisans Guild Newsletter - April 2025

Dear Friends of The Guild,

We are thrilled to be officially open. Welcome to the New Hartford Artisans Guild! This past weekend, April 5th, we celebrated our very first art exhibition — we want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us. It was a fantastic event, and we couldn’t have done it without your enthusiasm and participation! If you missed the show, don't worry – you can view the complete list of work online or visit us in person at the gallery, open Thursday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM. The show runs until June 1st, 2025.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce our upcoming exhibition, Summer Reading, running from June 2nd to July 15th. This show will be juried by Thomas Rickis of Westfield, MA. Tom is a watercolor artist with 50+ years experience as a painter and curator in the art world. Prior to moving to South Carolina he was the president of the Gallery on the Green, in Canton, CT. Wel

All submissions for Summer Reading must be submitted by May 10th. You can find all submission details under the Exhibitions tab on our website.

Additionally, we’re adding a variety of exciting new workshops to our calendar for April and May, catering to artists of all skill levels. We hope to see you soon in one of our upcoming classes!

ASA After School Art Program is looking for students, We will have Roxy Ryan, Assistant Directory of Admission of University of Hartford Art School visiting Saturday May 31st — this is a great opportunity for high school students to get a better understanding of what they need to complete their art school portfolios and applications.

Please don’t forget, we are always accepting donations of art supplies and related products, anything we can use in the studio, materials are accessible to all of our members. Some examples: paper, paint, brushes, plastic plates, paper towels, pastels, crayons, markers, tape, ribbon, etc.

At the intersection of Dunkin Donuts in New Hartford — turn onto Reservoir Road (from 44) take your first left onto Greenwoods Rd and follow it all the way down staying to the left! Use artist entrance A and traverse the long hallway all the way to the end of the common area! There we are! Come say hello!

Join us every Wednesday night from 5-8 in the NHAG studio, at 37 Greenwoods Road, New Hartford CT - Floor 2 #9A for life model drawing. Participants must be 18+ to attend, click on the link (left) to register.
