Ken Masslon, Artist & Co-Founder of NHAG
Ken Masslon is a Connecticut-based artist renowned for his evocative oil paintings that capture the essence of New England's landscapes. Primarily working in oil, both in the studio and en plein air, he also creates prints using gelatin, linoleum, and wood blocks. His artistic journey began with a foundation in math, science, and computer science, but over time, art became his true passion.
Masslon's work has been featured in various exhibitions, including the 2024 Small Works Juried Exhibition at Five Points Arts, where 150 works from across North America were showcased.
He is also an active member of the Connecticut Plein Air Painters Society, which aims to promote and nurture the art of painting en plein air.
In addition to his studio practice, Masslon operates a gallery at the Hurley Business Park in New Hartford, Connecticut, where visitors can experience his work firsthand.
