Sarah Ryor, Abstract Artist
Sarah Ryor is a Connecticut-based artist specializing in multimedia abstract collage and painting. Her fine art studio is located at The Hurley Factory in New Hartford, Connecticut. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Ryor is also an educator, teaching abstract art techniques. She studied stone sculpting under Bob Lockhart at Bellarmine University.
Ryor's work is characterized by vibrant colors, dynamic movement, and organic forms. She strives to evoke emotional responses from viewers through her art, aiming to capture motion and energy across various mediums. Beyond her studio practice, Ryor is passionate about repurposing materials, often salvaging old items to incorporate into her pieces. She also fosters plants that line the walkway to her fifth-floor studio, adding a touch of nature to the industrial setting.
